Homemade McGriddle (Print-Friendly Version)

Delicious breakfast sandwiches made with maple pancake buns, fluffy eggs, sausage, and melty cheese.

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 tablespoons butter for cooking eggs.
02 - 6 eggs for the egg mixture.
03 - 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder.
04 - 1 pound of breakfast sausage links.
05 - 1 egg for pancakes.
06 - 2.5 tablespoons syrup, preferably maple.
07 - 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour.
08 - 3 tablespoons butter, melted for batter.
09 - Salt and pepper as needed.
10 - 8 slices of bacon (optional add-on).
11 - 1.5 teaspoons of baking powder.
12 - 1 cup milk to mix with eggs.
13 - 4 cheese slices, cheddar or American.
14 - 2/3 cup milk to make pancake batter.

# Steps:

01 - Shape 4 sausage patties and brown each side for about 3 minutes. If you're adding bacon, cook it now too.
02 - Beat eggs with seasoning and milk. Cook small portions of the mix and fold them into squares. Use fresh butter each time.
03 - Blend your pancake ingredients until smooth and lump-free. Spoon out 3 tablespoons of batter at a time, cooking 8 pancakes total.
04 - Stack: pancake first, then cheese, sausage, eggs, and bacon (if using). Finish with another pancake on top. Repeat.

# Notes:

01 - You can mix your own breakfast sausage seasoning.
02 - A griddle speeds things up while cooking pancakes.
03 - Parts of this meal can be prepped the day before.
