Mountain Dew Ice Cream (Print-Friendly Version)

Tangy, no-churn treat blending creamy richness and vibrant Mountain Dew flavor. Perfect for parties or summer days.

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup Mountain Dew (not diet)
02 - 2 cups heavy whipping cream, cold
03 - 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
04 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
05 - 2–3 drops neon green food coloring (optional)
06 - Optional topping: citrus sugar crystals or green sanding sugar

# Steps:

01 - In a small saucepan, simmer 1 cup of Mountain Dew over medium heat for 10–12 minutes until reduced by half. Let it cool completely before using.
02 - In a large, chilled bowl, whip the cold heavy cream until stiff peaks form (about 3–4 minutes using a hand mixer).
03 - In a separate bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, cooled (or fresh) Mountain Dew, and food coloring if using.
04 - Gently fold the whipped cream into the Mountain Dew mixture with a spatula until smooth and airy. Be careful not to deflate the whipped cream.
05 - Pour the mixture into a loaf pan or freezer-safe container. Smooth the top and cover tightly.
06 - Freeze for at least 5–6 hours, or until firm.
07 - Let sit at room temperature for 5 minutes before scooping. Serve with optional citrus sugar topping for extra flair!

# Notes:

01 - Reducing the soda boosts flavor and helps create a smoother texture—but the recipe still works if you skip this step.
02 - For a fun twist, try swapping in Mountain Dew Code Red or Baja Blast.
03 - Food coloring is optional but adds that signature neon-green punch.
04 - Store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
05 - Want extra citrus flavor? Add a little lemon or lime zest to the mixture before freezing.
