Bang Bang Chicken Skewers (Print-Friendly Version)

Tender chicken skewers coated in sweet and spicy bang bang sauce, cooked until golden using grill or air fryer.

# Ingredients:

→ Chicken and Seasonings

01 - 1½-2 lbs chicken thighs, cubed into 1-inch pieces
02 - 1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
03 - 1 tsp paprika
04 - 1 tsp garlic powder
05 - 1 tsp black pepper
06 - ½ tsp cayenne pepper
07 - ½ tsp salt
08 - 2 Tbsp hot honey

→ Bang Bang Sauce

09 - 1 cup mayonnaise
10 - 2 Tbsp lime juice, fresh squeezed
11 - ⅔ cup Thai sweet chili sauce
12 - ¼ cup Sriracha

# Steps:

01 - In a large bowl, combine the cubed chicken thighs, olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and salt. Toss to evenly coat the chicken.
02 - In a medium bowl, mix the mayonnaise, Thai sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, and lime juice until smooth. Divide into two portions, reserving one for serving.
03 - Thread the seasoned chicken onto skewers, filling half to three-quarters of each skewer. Brush the chicken with one of the prepared sauce portions, ensuring even coverage.
04 - Grill the skewers over medium-high heat for 15-20 minutes, turning frequently, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. Brush the chicken with sauce periodically to enhance caramelization.
05 - Place the skewers in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry at 400°F for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through. Ensure the chicken temperature reaches 165°F.
06 - Transfer the cooked skewers to a plate and drizzle with the reserved sauce. Optionally, add a drizzle of hot honey for extra flavor. Serve immediately.

# Notes:

01 - Soak wooden skewers in water before use to prevent burning.
02 - Reheat leftover skewers in an air fryer at 350°F for 3 minutes or until warm.
