01 -
Heat your oven to 375°F (around 190°C). Use some oil or parchment paper on a baking tray to keep the food from sticking.
02 -
Drizzle some olive oil into a skillet and warm it over medium heat. Toss in the ground beef. Break it apart with a spoon and cook until fully browned, roughly 5-7 minutes. Get rid of any extra fat if needed.
03 -
In the same pan, add minced garlic, onion, and bell pepper. Let them cook until soft, about 4-5 minutes. Mix in salt, black pepper, paprika, Italian spices, ketchup, and barbecue sauce. Stir until evenly combined, then let it simmer for an extra 2-3 minutes. Pull it off the heat and set aside to cool off a little.
04 -
Sprinkle some flour on a flat surface, then stretch or roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle, preferably 12 by 15 inches in size.
05 -
Spread the cooled beef mixture onto the dough evenly, making sure to leave about an inch untouched on all edges. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella over the top.
06 -
Start rolling the dough from one long side to make a log. Fold and tuck the ends, then make sure all the seams are tightly shut. Lay it seam-side down on your prepared baking tray.
07 -
Mix melted butter with garlic powder in a small bowl. Use this to coat the top and sides of the dough evenly.
08 -
Place the tray in your hot oven and bake for 20-25 minutes. It’s ready when the crust is golden and cooked through.
09 -
Let the baked dish cool for about 5-10 minutes. This helps it set so the slices stay neat. Cut into pieces about an inch wide, scatter over some parsley if you want, and serve warm.
