# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1 pound ground beef
02 - 1 onion, chopped
03 - 1 bell pepper, chopped
04 - 2 garlic cloves, minced
05 - 1 cup tomato sauce
06 - 1/4 cup ketchup
07 - 1 tablespoon brown sugar
08 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
09 - 1 teaspoon mustard
10 - Salt and pepper, to taste
11 - 8 ounces of cooked pasta (elbow macaroni or similar), drained
12 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
13 - 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and coat a baking dish with some oil. Set it aside.
02 - In a big pan over medium heat, pour in olive oil. Toss in the beef, onions, and chopped bell pepper. Cook until the beef is no longer pink, and veggies are soft.
03 - Drain off the fat, then mix in minced garlic, tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar. Sprinkle some salt and pepper on top, and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
04 - Toss the pasta and the sloppy joe mix together in the greased baking dish. Stir it well so the pasta soaks up all the sauce.
05 - Spread cheddar cheese over the top of the pasta mixture.
06 - Slide it into the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
07 - Let the casserole sit for a few minutes before digging in. The mix of flavors—sweet, tangy, and savory—really stands out.

# Notes:

01 - Cook the beef thoroughly to get the best flavor.
02 - Draining the fat helps avoid making the dish overly oily.
03 - Simmering the sauce deepens the flavor.
04 - Pick a high-quality cheddar for richer taste and smoother melting.
05 - Leave your pasta slightly undercooked since it’ll cook more in the oven.
