Cinnamon Roll Apple Lasagna (Print-Friendly Version)

Cozy layers of spiced apples, caramel drizzle, and cinnamon rolls serve up comfort in every bite.

# Ingredients:

→ Apple Filling

01 - 4 cups peeled, diced apples (about 4 medium apples)
02 - ½ cup granulated sugar
03 - 1 tablespoon cornstarch
04 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
05 - ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg

→ Cinnamon Roll Layers

06 - 2 cans refrigerated cinnamon rolls (8 rolls per can), with icing packets
07 - Extra flour, for dusting the surface

→ Caramel Drizzle

08 - ¼ cup caramel sauce (homemade or store-bought)

# Steps:

01 - Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish with butter or nonstick spray to prevent sticking.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, combine diced apples, granulated sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix until the apples are evenly coated.
03 - Open the cinnamon roll cans and set aside icing packets. Slice each roll into ¼-inch thick rounds. Lightly flour a surface and flatten each round into a 3–4 inch disk.
04 - Place a layer of flattened cinnamon rolls at the bottom of the greased pan. Spread half the spiced apple mixture evenly, then drizzle 2–3 tablespoons of caramel sauce. Repeat for a second layer with the remaining ingredients. Finish with a top layer of cinnamon rolls and drizzle the remaining caramel sauce.
05 - Cover the baking dish tightly with foil to help soften the apples and bake the cinnamon rolls. Bake for 30 minutes.
06 - Remove the foil and bake uncovered for another 10 minutes to allow the top to become golden brown and slightly crispy.
07 - Let the dish cool for 15 minutes before drizzling the reserved icing packets over the top in ribbons or swirls.
08 - Slice into 9 squares and serve warm. Enjoy as-is or pair with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

# Notes:

01 - For the richest flavor, use a mix of apple varieties, such as Granny Smith and Honeycrisp.
02 - Allow the dish to cool for easier slicing and to help layers set.
