Asian Slow Cooker Pork (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Key Components

01 - 4-5 garlic cloves
02 - Pork tenderloin or shoulder, 2-2.5 lbs

→ Flavor Mix

03 - 1/4 cup honey
04 - 1/3 cup regular soy sauce
05 - 1 tablespoon molasses or dark soy
06 - 1 tablespoon sesame oil
07 - 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
08 - 1 tablespoon vinegar (rice wine preferred)
09 - 1 tablespoon cornstarch
10 - Optional: 1-2 teaspoons chili flakes

# Instructions:

01 - Put the pork in your slow cooker, and scatter the garlic around it.
02 - Stir together the soy sauce, honey, dark soy or molasses, sesame oil, vinegar, ginger, cornstarch, and chili flakes in a bowl.
03 - Drizzle the sauce over the pork, and toss it around until it’s coated (don’t worry if it’s not totally covered).
04 - Cook for 2-2.5 hours on high or around 4 hours on low until the pork is super tender and falling apart.
05 - Toss out the garlic. Shred the pork using a fork, and let it heat up on high for a few more minutes. Enjoy with rice, noodles, sliders, or tacos.

# Notes:

01 - Larger pork cuts may need 8-10 hours on low to cook through.
02 - Switch up the vinegar with other types if needed.
03 - Tastes fantastic with shredded carrots or cabbage added in.
