Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add eggs, almond extract, and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.

Gradually mix in the flour and salt until a smooth dough forms. Press half of the dough into a baking pan.

Spread the cherry pie filling evenly over the pressed dough.

Dollop the remaining dough on top of the cherry filling, leaving some gaps for the filling to show through.

Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the top is lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let cool completely.

In a small bowl, mix confectioners’ sugar, almond extract, vanilla extract, and enough milk to reach a drizzling consistency. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled bars.
