Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and allow it to warm up. Slice the potatoes into ¼-inch rounds.

Warm olive oil in a frying pan on medium. Add garlic and onion, stirring until aromatic. Toss in ground beef, sprinkle with paprika, Italian seasoning, pepper, and salt, and cook it through.

Coat a baking dish lightly with oil and arrange half of the potato slices. Add half of the beef mixture on top. Sprinkle a layer of shredded cheddar cheese. Repeat these steps with the remaining ingredients, then drizzle the broth (and milk if you'd like) all over.

Cover the dish with foil and bake for roughly 35-40 minutes. Remove the foil, scatter Parmesan cheese on top, and bake uncovered for about 10 minutes until it turns a nice golden brown.

Let it cool off for about 5 minutes. Add some parsley for a fresh touch, and dig in!
