Fancy Shrimp Pasta (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Pasta & Protein

01 - 1 pound of shrimp, deveined and peeled
02 - 8 ounces of spaghetti or fettuccine

→ Sauce Components

03 - 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese, freshly prepared
04 - 1 cup of chicken stock
05 - 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
06 - 2 tablespoons of olive oil
07 - 1 cup of heavy cream

→ Seasonings & Garnish

08 - Freshly chopped parsley for sprinkling on top
09 - Salt and black pepper, adjust as needed
10 - A pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Get a big pot of water boiling and add a generous pinch of salt. Toss in the pasta and cook it until it’s just tender, according to the directions on the package. Drain it and put it to the side.
02 - Warm up olive oil in a big skillet over medium-high heat. Toss in the shrimp and season with some salt and pepper. Cook them for 2-3 minutes on each side until they’re pink and cooked through, then take them out of the pan and set them aside.
03 - In the same pan, cook the garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) for about 30 seconds, just until you smell the garlic. Stir in the chicken broth and heavy cream, mixing well. Let it simmer gently, then slowly sprinkle in the Parmesan cheese while stirring until the sauce gets completely smooth. Adjust the seasoning if necessary.
04 - Add the shrimp and drained pasta into your skillet. Gently mix everything so that the creamy sauce fully covers the pasta and shrimp.
05 - Turn off the heat, top it with fresh parsley for color, and enjoy it right away.

# Notes:

01 - For added flavor, you can pour a little white wine in before mixing in the cream and chicken stock.
02 - Eat this dish immediately so the sauce stays warm and smooth.
03 - To cut down on calories, you could replace heavy cream with half-and-half.
