Set your oven to 400°F to preheat.

Warm a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Toss in the sausage and cook for about 5 minutes, crumbling it as it cooks until all the pink is gone. Turn off the heat and let it cool down for 10 minutes.

In a big bowl, mix together the sausage, the eggs, and the butter. Whip it up well to beat the eggs thoroughly.

Sprinkle in the flour and the baking powder. Mix it until everything combines and there are no flour lumps left.

Carefully add in the shredded cheddar and chopped green chilis. Stir gently until these are evenly mixed into the batter.

Scoop out 12 big dollops of the mix with a cookie scoop or spoon and lay them on a baking sheet. Bake them for around 10 minutes until the centers are just firm.
