Smoked Salmon Tart (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 6 ounces of thinly sliced smoked salmon
02 - 2/3 cup of soft cream cheese
03 - 2 sheets of pre-made puff pastry

→ Seasonings

04 - Quarter teaspoon of ground black pepper
05 - 16 chopped fresh chives
06 - 1 diced shallot

→ Topping

07 - 1 tablespoon of milk
08 - 1 egg yolk for brushing
09 - 1 tablespoon of poppy seeds

# Instructions:

01 - Dice the shallot, then mix it with the cream cheese, black pepper, and chopped chives. Roll out pastry, cutting into circles about 12 inches across.
02 - On one pastry circle, spread the cream cheese mixture and layer the salmon over it. Place another pastry circle on top to cover.
03 - Slice 16 strips outward from the center, twist them gently, and poke a small hole in the middle for air to escape.
04 - Brush the top with the egg and milk mixture, sprinkle poppy seeds, and bake at 350°F for about 30-35 minutes until browned.
