Strawberry Brownies Chocolate Twist (Print-Friendly Version)

Gooey brownies with fresh strawberry slices and a silky chocolate pour. The perfect mix of fruity and sweet in every bite.

# Ingredients:

→ Wet Ingredients

01 - 1 teaspoon pure vanilla
02 - 2 tablespoons plain water
03 - 4 tablespoons melted unsalted butter
04 - 1/4 cup neutral oil (like vegetable oil)
05 - 2 big eggs

→ Dry Ingredients

06 - 1/2 cup chocolate chunks or chips
07 - 1/2 teaspoon salt (kosher works great)
08 - 1/2 cup powdered sugar
09 - 2/3 cup cocoa powder
10 - 3/4 cup plain flour
11 - 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar

→ Topping

12 - Chocolate wafers for melting
13 - 3 cups strawberries with stems removed

# Steps:

01 - Set oven to 325°F. Grease an 8-inch square pan and line it with parchment paper.
02 - In a big bowl, mix together the eggs, oil, butter, water, and vanilla.
03 - In another bowl, stir together the sugar, flour, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, and salt. Slowly add this to the wet mix until just blended.
04 - Gently fold in chocolate chips, then pour the batter into the prepared pan.
05 - Pop the pan in the oven for 35-40 minutes, or until it’s set. Let it cool down completely in the pan.
06 - Arrange strawberries flat-side down on top, then drizzle with melted chocolate. Wait for it to firm up before cutting.

# Notes:

01 - Drizzle can also be made with melted chocolate chips instead of wafers.
02 - Let brownies cool off fully before adding toppings.
