Bacon Green Beans (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 6 slices of bacon, chopped into small pieces
02 - 1/2 cup finely diced white onion
03 - 2 cans of green beans (16 ounces each), drained and rinsed well
04 - 1/2 cup chicken broth (low-sodium preferred)
05 - 1 tablespoon of garlic, minced

→ Seasonings

06 - 1/4 teaspoon of freshly cracked black pepper
07 - 1 teaspoon white sugar
08 - 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter
09 - 1/2 teaspoon of salt
10 - 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar for flavor

# Instructions:

01 - Warm a big skillet over medium-high heat. Stir the bacon pieces while cooking until they're crispy. This should take about 5–6 minutes.
02 - Toss diced onions into the skillet with the cooked bacon and cook them for about 5 minutes, or until they’re soft.
03 - Add the green beans, broth, minced garlic, butter, vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper. Stir everything so it's all well combined.
04 - Turn the heat down low. Cover the pan and let it cook for 10 minutes or until the green beans are nice and tender. Stir every so often.
05 - Give it a taste and adjust the salt or pepper if needed. Serve while it’s warm.

# Notes:

01 - You can swap sugar for a keto-friendly sweetener if needed.
02 - Canned green beans bring out the most traditional flavor.
03 - Reduce the salt if you're using regular (not low-sodium) chicken broth.
