Fresh Avocado Dip (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Salsa Base

01 - 4 medium tomatoes, diced and seeds removed
02 - 4 avocados, ripe, peeled, and chopped into chunks
03 - 1 jalapeño, finely chopped after seeding
04 - 1 onion, diced into small pieces
05 - ¼ cup chopped cilantro leaves

→ Tangy Dressing

06 - ¼ cup of lime juice, freshly squeezed
07 - ¼ cup olive oil
08 - 2 garlic cloves, smashed up
09 - ¾ teaspoon of salt
10 - ½ teaspoon cumin powder
11 - A pinch of ground black pepper (about ¼ teaspoon)
12 - 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro

# Instructions:

01 - Soak your diced onion in cool water in a small bowl. Swirl it occasionally for about ten minutes, then drain it before mixing it with the other ingredients.
02 - Combine the drained onion with your avocado chunks, tomatoes, chopped cilantro, and jalapeño in a large bowl.
03 - In a smaller bowl, stir together lime juice, oil, cilantro, garlic, cumin, salt, and black pepper until it all looks uniform.
04 - Pour the whisked dressing over the salsa mixture and gently stir until it’s evenly covered.
05 - Spoon it up with tortilla chips or however you’d like to eat it.

# Notes:

01 - If you like more spice, toss in some cayenne or chili flakes.
02 - White onions can work here, but red ones are better.
03 - Tastes much better if eaten as soon as it's made.
