Easy Crock Pot Potatoes (Print-Friendly Version)

Tender, buttery potatoes mixed with the savory goodness of onion soup. A no-fuss side that’s hearty and delicious.

# Ingredients:

01 - 6 potatoes – large and sliced thin.
02 - 1 packet of dry onion soup mix (such as Lipton).
03 - 1/3 cup melted butter or margarine.
04 - 1 cup of cheddar cheese, shredded (optional).
05 - Half a cup of chicken broth or plain water.
06 - Add salt and pepper to taste.
07 - Use butter or spray to coat the pot.

# Steps:

01 - Coat your slow cooker with butter or non-stick spray. Slice potatoes thin after peeling if you'd like.
02 - Combine melted butter with the onion mix and toss it with the potato slices. Cheese optional at this step.
03 - Put butter-coated potatoes into the cooker in layers. Add broth or water over everything.
04 - Set on low for 5-6 hours, or turn to high and cook 2-3 hours until the potatoes soften.
05 - Add seasoning (salt, pepper) to your liking. Serve up and enjoy while it's warm.

# Notes:

01 - Russet potatoes work best because they’re starchy.
02 - Using a mandoline helps make consistent slices.
03 - Store leftovers in the fridge for up to four days.
