Air Fryer Pineapple Slices (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ For the Pineapple

01 - Roughly 2 full cups of pineapple slices (from around 1/2 small pineapple)
02 - 1 tablespoon of melted plant-based margarine or vegan butter (optional)
03 - 2 tablespoons of sweet maple syrup
04 - 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon

→ Optional Chili Lime Dip

05 - 3 tablespoons vegan mayo or creamy cashew-based sauce
06 - Juice squeezed from about half a lime (1 tablespoon)
07 - 1/2 teaspoon spicy chili powder

# Instructions:

01 - Cut the pineapple by peeling, coring, and slicing it into rings or chunks. Measure out 2 big cups and add them to a mixing bowl.
02 - In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, maple syrup, and cinnamon. Pour the mix over the pineapple and carefully toss until everything's evenly covered.
03 - Spread out the pineapple pieces in your air fryer basket. Keep them in one layer. Cook at 380°F for about 12 to 15 minutes. Flip halfway through for a nice caramelized finish.
04 - While the pineapple cooks, stir together the cashew cream or vegan mayo, lime juice, and chili powder in a separate small bowl.
05 - Serve the caramelized pineapple warm or chilled. Enjoy it plain or pair it up with the chili lime dip if you feel like it.

# Notes:

01 - Lay pineapple pieces individually to avoid them breaking apart during cooking.
02 - Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for about 2-3 days.
03 - Both warm and cold serving options work great!
