Salmon & Shrimp Cajun (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Cajun Cream Sauce

01 - 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
02 - 5 tablespoons unsalted butter
03 - 1 teaspoon paprika
04 - 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
05 - 1 cup chicken broth
06 - 1 cup heavy cream
07 - 2 cups fresh baby spinach
08 - 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

→ Seafood

09 - 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
10 - 4 salmon fillets, each weighing 4 oz
11 - 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
12 - 1 pound large shrimp, deveined and peeled
13 - 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter

# Instructions:

01 - Whisk together butter, flour, and spices to make a roux. Stir in cream and broth, and let it simmer for about 10 minutes until it thickens up.
02 - Rub Cajun seasoning on the salmon. Cook 3–4 minutes on each side in a pan until the inside measures 145°F.
03 - Season shrimp with Cajun spice, then cook in the same pan for 2–3 minutes on each side.
04 - Mix the cheese and spinach into the sauce. Keep it on the stove until the cheese is melted and spinach softens.
05 - Drop the cooked seafood into your sauce, sprinkle some parsley if you'd like, and serve it right away.
