Cookie Dough Chocolate Bites (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Dough Base

01 - 1 cup all-purpose flour (heat-treated)
02 - ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
03 - ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
04 - ¼ teaspoon salt
05 - 1 teaspoon vanilla
06 - 2 tablespoons milk
07 - ¾ cup chocolate chips

→ Chocolate Topping

08 - 1 cup chocolate chips (dark or semi-sweet)
09 - Optional: 1 teaspoon coconut oil

# Instructions:

01 - Using a mixing bowl, whip the butter and brown sugar until fluffy and light. Then mix in salt and vanilla until smooth.
02 - Slowly add the treated flour and stir until it’s fully blended in. Pour in the milk and mix until the dough comes together nicely.
03 - Gently fold the chocolate chips into the dough, spreading them evenly.
04 - Roll the dough into small balls, about a tablespoon each. Lay them on a parchment-covered baking tray, then chill in the fridge for half an hour.
05 - Put the chocolate chips and coconut oil into a microwave-safe dish. Heat in 20-second bursts, stirring each time, until silky and melted.
06 - Take the chilled dough balls and dunk halfway into the melted chocolate. Set them back onto the lined tray, and sprinkle additional chips on top if you like.
07 - Let the chocolate harden either at room temp or pop them in the fridge to speed it up. Once set, they’re ready to enjoy!

# Notes:

01 - To heat-treat flour, spread it thin on a baking tray. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes to kill germs. Let it cool completely before using.
02 - Keep them fresh by storing in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 7 days.
03 - Switch it up! Roll them in crushed nuts, sprinkles, or shredded coconut while the chocolate’s still soft.
