Put the milk, rice, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and raisins into a big pot. Warm everything over medium heat until it starts bubbling. Stir here and there so it doesn't stick or burn.

Turn the heat way down once it boils. Let it cook gently for 15-20 minutes while stirring off and on with a wooden spoon. It should get creamy, and the rice should be soft when you taste it.

Take your pot off the stove. Stir the butter and condensed milk in until fully blended. If it's too thick, mix in a little milk (around 1/4 cup) to adjust the texture.

Dish the pudding into bowls while it's still warm. Add some cinnamon on top and a few extra raisins if you like. You can eat it warm or put it in the fridge for later if you like it cold.
