Choco Peanut Bars (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 110g soft, unsalted butter
02 - 100g smooth peanut butter
03 - 110g packed light brown sugar
04 - 100g regular white sugar
05 - 1 full egg and an extra yolk
06 - 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

→ Dry Ingredients

07 - 250g all-purpose flour
08 - 1 teaspoon baking soda
09 - 1/2 teaspoon table salt

→ Mix-ins

10 - 75g milk chocolate chips
11 - 150g dark chocolate (70%), chopped into pieces
12 - 20g pretzel twists or chunks

# Instructions:

01 - Get your oven going at 180°C. Line a 23cm square baking dish with parchment paper, letting it hang over the edges.
02 - Whip the butter and sugars until fluffy, about 2-3 minutes. Stir in the egg, extra yolk, peanut butter, and vanilla.
03 - Sift in the flour and baking soda. Finally, toss in the salt and most of your chocolate, stirring just enough to bring it all together.
04 - Using dampened fingers, press the dough evenly into the pan. Scatter the remaining chocolate and pretzels on top.
05 - Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden but the center is still soft. Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top for a finishing touch.

# Notes:

01 - Stick to exact measurements by weighing ingredients.
02 - Don't mix the dough too much; you'll ruin the texture.
03 - Freeze the bars for as long as two months.
