Golden Turmeric Drink (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 2 ½ cups of plain almond or coconut milk, full fat and unsweetened
02 - One cinnamon stick or 1/4 tsp of powdered cinnamon
03 - 2 inches of fresh turmeric, sliced, or 1 ½ tsp of turmeric powder
04 - A 1-inch piece of fresh ginger, cut into slices, or ½ tsp of ground ginger

→ Additions

05 - 1 tablespoon of honey or maple syrup
06 - A pinch of black pepper
07 - Half a teaspoon of coconut oil

# Instructions:

01 - In a small pot, add the milk, cinnamon, turmeric, ginger, black pepper, and coconut oil.
02 - Warm it up on the stove, giving it a good stir every now and then, but don’t let it boil.
03 - Stir in some honey or maple syrup until it’s as sweet as you want.
04 - If you used fresh ginger or turmeric, pour it through a strainer, then split between mugs. Sprinkle with cinnamon if you like!
